STEP 1

Open a new image 700 x 500
Transparent background
PSP9: Colour Depth = 16 Million Colors (24bit)
PSPX-X7: Colour Depth RGB = 8bits/channel

STEP 2

In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load
BLUE " #013ac3 " in your foreground
Load
DARK BLUE " #112559 " in your background

Then click on the GRADIENT option in your foreground palette

andenter these setting
STEP 3


Flood fill with Gradient

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with
WHITE

Open up the checkerboardcorners.jpg image in your PSP workspace and minimize

LAYERS >>> NEW MASK LAYER >>> FROM IMAGE

STEP 4

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE GROUP

Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the
CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
and enter these coordinates.
STEP 5

EDIT >>> CLEAR
DESELECT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity =
80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
STEP 6

Choose your SELECTION TOOL then click on the
CUSTOM SELECTION symbol
Same settings

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity =
80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1


SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW

STEP 7



EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to 135


DESELECT
STEP 8

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode =
ADD (Shift)
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance = 10
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNchecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X7: There is no " Sample Merged"

Select all the WHITE areas EXCEPT where 'DO NOT SELECT" is indicated.


STEP 9

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL


DESELECT
STEP 10

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode = ADD (Shift)
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance =
20
Feather = 0
Antialias =
Checked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X7: There is no " Sample Merged"
PSP9 - X7: ANTIALIAS = Outside

Select the last 2 white sections
STEP 11

SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> EXPAND = 2

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL

Same settings
BUT
Change colour to #0c277c

Click OK

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity =
80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK


DESELECT
STEP 12

IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
80%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

With your MAGIC WAND
Mode =
Replace
Match Mode = RGB Value
Tolerance =
0
Feather = 0
Antialias =
UNChecked
Sample Merged = UNCHECKED
PSP9 - X7: Check CONTIGUOUS
PSPX
- X7: There is no " Sample Merged"


Select the outer frame area

STEP 13

SELECTIONS >>> INVERT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 1
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Repeat Drop Shadow effect changing
Vertical & Horizontal Offsets to - ( minus ) 1
Click OK


EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
Same settings

EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow.. change DIRECTION to

DESELECT
STEP 14

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

PSP9: IMAGE >>> ROTATE >>> FREE ROTATE =
LEFT 90
Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED

PSPX - PSPX7:
IMAGE >>> FREE ROTATE =

Ensure "All layers" is UNCHECKED


IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
85%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN
STEP 15

Select your RASTER DEFORM tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX - X7:Select your PICK tool


Adjust the centre left, right, upper and lower nodes as shown.



Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select another tool to disengage the DEFORMATION / PICK TOOL


SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 16

Open up the abstract_round_by_mohaafterdark
image
in your PSP workspace

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = UNChecked


Select the shape shown

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options
STEP 17

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


ADJUST >>> COLOUR BALANCE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE
PSPX - X7: IMAGE >>> NEGATIVE IMAGE

IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
35%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

(Sharpen if you wish)

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 18

LAYERS >>> DUPLICATE

IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
65%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 19

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR

If the shape overlaps the centre frame.....
STEP 20

Reposition the centre frame to the
left slightly
with your MOVER tool

ACTIVATE Raster 2

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> SIMPLE >>> TOP LEFT MIRROR

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Same settings

Select one of the corner shapes

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

DESELECT

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.

75%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

(Sharpen if you wish)

Reposition with your MOVER tool
STEP 23

ACTIVATE Raster 2
EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow

ACTIVATE Copy of Raster 2
EDIT >>> Repeat Drop Shadow

CLOSE Raster 1

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

OPEN Raster 1

SAVE YOUR WORK
STEP 24

With the Merged layer active

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Flood fill with
BLUE #161f59

SELECTIONS >>> SELECT ALL
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with WHITE
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
EDIT >>> CLEAR


Flood fill with BLUE #161f59
SELECTIONS >>> MODIFY >>> CONTRACT = 3
EDIT >>> CLEAR

DESELECT
STEP 25

Open up the
MKM 2014 SEPTEMBER SERIES SEASCAPES_T2

image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
50%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Select your RASTER DEFORM tool
Mode = SCALE
use default settings

PSPX - X7:Select your PICK tool


Adjust centre left and centre right nodes inwards as shown
STEP 28

Click the RESET RECTANGLE arrow

Select another tool to disengage the
DEFORMATION / PICK TOOL

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Open up the
CGS~ScanSusanBranch2011CalendarScan2
image in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY MERGED
from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> MIRROR

IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
25%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

Reposition with your MOVER tool

STEP 29

ACTIVATE the Merged layer

Open up the Betsie 595_13-01-2011
image

in your PSP workspace

Right click on the Title Bar and select COPY from the options

Right click on the Title Bar of your frame image
and select PASTE AS NEW LAYER from the options.


IMAGE >>> RESIZE =
70%
Ensure "Resize all layers" is UNCHECKED
Resample using WEIGHTED AVERAGE

Reposition with your MOVER tool

EFFECTS >>> PLUGINS >>> EYE CANDY 3 >>>
DROP SHADOW
Same settings

STEP 30

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your TEXT tool
and with a font of your choice add your name

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE ALL (Flatten)

Save as .jpg image
